Sam Koshio at Fort Lupton's City Park
Photos of Sam Koshio
Sam had a smile that  warmed everyone's heart! He is pictured here with his wife, Katy, and mother, Shime (sitting to Sam's left), relaxing at the Fort Lupton Pizza Hut.  The picture was taken in the late 80's, following the Trapper Days festivities in Ft. Lupton of which he was Grand Marshall.
Sam was an active communty volunteer.  He and his wife would often be guest lecturers when area schools were studying Japan.  They would bring in Japanese food on the last day of their presentation as a real treat.  Sam was active in the Buddhist temple in Ft. Lupton and Denver.  He was also active in the Japanese American Citizens League and Rotary Club.  This photo shows Sam at the Ft. Lupton City Park where he donated countless hours landscaping.  After Sam's death, Ft. Lupton changed the name of the park to Sam Koshio Park.

Sam enjoyed big bands especially Glenn Miller.
